On March 5th-7th of 2020, the JGLM Canada Ministry team, led by Pastors Marty & Brigitte Nystrom, had the opportunity to teach the New Man seminar at the Portal of Glory church in Edmonton, Alberta. Many people who attended this seminar were from all parts of Edmonton and the surrounding areas. Among the attendees were many children who were excited to take part in these teachings with their Bible & notebook in hand.
What is a New Man Seminar?
The New Man is a three day seminar where individuals can learn Biblical principles on the spirit, soul & body, how they operate individually and together as a whole in Christ Jesus. The seminar also teaches on the New Covenant and what the Word of God says about our identity and acknowledging what is in us through Christ.
“That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
2 Timothy 3:17 KJV
During the seminar many of the attendees expressed how eye-opening and life changing this seminar was. They were amazed at the simplicity of the Word of God which truly blessed them.
On the last evening of the seminar, there was a Healing Service. This is where the power of God was manifested through the laying on of hands, for anyone who required healing and/or deliverance.
Here are a few testimonies that we received at the end of the seminar:
There was a gentleman who was suffering from pain in his one shoulder. He was not able to raise his arm or lift anything heavy at that time. After he was ministered to during the healing service, he was able to not only lift his arm above his head, but he was also able to do push ups.
A gentleman who had suffered a stroke was left with pins and needles throughout his upper body and also cold hands, due to poor circulation. After being ministered to, his health was restored. The pins & needles were gone and his hands were warm, he even testified the next morning at the service. See our On The Road teaching.
A lady who was partially deaf with a hearing aid was ministered to that same evening. She had removed her hearing aid. Before she left to go home she testified that she could hear more than 60% without her hearing aid in.
A lady who could not open or close her hand fully and even had troubles holding her notebook through the conference testified the next morning at the service that the pain was gone & she could fully open and close her hand. (Which she had started to do the night before immanently after prayer) She also mentioned the next morning that she had other complications throughout her body that she had seen a significant improvement in over night. Her words "The Proof is in the Pudding, and THIS (The Bible) is the pudding guys!" She her testimony here.
This seminar was an incredible time of ministry to continue equipping the saints to go out into the world to serve as we have all been called to do.
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
Mark 16:15-18 KJV
All the Glory belongs to our God. What an honor it is to be the hands & feet of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
